Our Team

Gregg works with selected consultants, trainers and support professionals throughout the world whose work is in alignment with his approach, and who bring specific skill sets and competencies for each project.

​Peggy Smith, Clarity Services
Peggy Smith is a certified trainer with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication, with over four decades of teaching experience. She has a commitment to helping people of all ages cultivate empathic thinking and communicating so that we can handle the challenges of life while strengthening community.

Peggy holds a M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and was a teacher in public and alternative schools for 32 years before devoting her full time energies to this endeavor. She offers trainings in a wide variety of venues. She has posted online a Courageous Communication curriculum developed over five years with men coming out of incarceration.

She is a co-founder of the Maine NVC Network and leads their monthly newsletter team.

Peggy has done international NVC work through Seeds of Peace International Camp, working with educators from the Middle East and South Asia both in Maine and in the region.

A student of Mindfulness since 1991, Peggy has been ordained as a teacher by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. She has a passion for helping everyone develop their innate capacity for empathy by integrating mindfulness into how we think and communicate.
Peggy enjoys designing and implementing programs that support empathic thinking and communicating as part of systemic culture change.

Leah Boyd, Clarity Services
​Leah Boyd is a certified trainer with the International Center for Nonviolent Communication and holds a BS in Education. She is a professional mediator, group facilitator and communication skills trainer. With a diverse background including human resources, public school teaching, and professional music, Leah brings wide personal experience to her work.

For 15 years Leah served as a human resources manager for a trucking company that grew from 12 to 65 employees. While immersed in this work she discovered and honed her skill and passion for assisting people to communicate effectively, work cooperatively, manage conflict and tap collective wisdom.

 Leah trusts the creative potential that is unleashed when all voices are heard and all needs are considered within a supportive structure, allowing creative tension to become a source of creativity. 

In addition to serving private clients, Leah presently mediates within the Maine District Court system and has served on the Board of Governors of the Maine Association of Mediators. She offers facilitation & training for a wide range of groups and organizations including colleges, associations, boards and workplaces.

Leah lives with her husband, 2 horses & a border collie in rural Maine.

Michael Cheuk
Michael Cheuk (pronounced “Chuck”) is an ICF-certified coach (Associate Certified Coach), a group facilitator and process consultant. He works with individuals, faith groups and secular organizations to bring the power of empathic listening and compassionate communication to achieve goals and purposes that enhance the common good. Michael has supported Gregg in consultations and trainings with organizations in the Charlottesville area. He is also a member of the Charlottesville Clergy Collective, an interfaith group of faith leaders committed to the on-going work of racial justice and reconciliation.

Michael combines the insights and practices of NVC with Bowenian family systems theory to foster responsibility for one’s own being and destiny while remaining connected to others in serving the mission of an organization or system.

He holds a Ph.D. in religious ethics from the University of Virginia. He also has pastored churches for over twenty years. His hobbies include photography, singing, and cooking. In his work, Michael brings together the critical thinking skills of an academic, the compassionate heart of a pastor, and the creative sensibilities of an artist.

Brad Stoller
Brad Stoller has been an international workshop leader in improvisational forms since 1989. He is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and a black belt in Aikido. He is a prize winning playwright and theatre director. Over the years he has founded several theatre organizations and companies that use the power of creativity and personal experience to inspire, solve, and impact meaningful change.

Working as far abroad as East Africa and touring Europe and the United States, he has found that at heart—whether people want clean water, equal rights, aesthetic excellence, or just to understand each other—are simple principles of connection.  It is from these principles of connection underlying human interaction that fulfillment and progress are made. Most recently he has trained in the powerful and transformational methods developed by the Insight Principles team (insightprinciples.com) and authors of "Invisible Power" who work with leaders in Fortune 100 companies to go beyond their expectations in business and discover their personal lives transformed in the process.

Dan Miller, Dan Miller and Associates
During his years as front-line supervisor, safety director, human resources manager, and corporate trainer, Dan developed his passion for and expertise in innovative and cost-saving ways to enhance safety, accident prevention, efficiency, and effective performance. Dan then put these to good use as director of training and organizational development for a human resources association with more than 400 member companies where he designed and delivered leadership, communication, and safety workshops. In 1997, he formed his own company in order to bring this work to many more companies and organizations.
