Focus of Workshop
An authentic leader who has “power with” the people being led has a very different set of skills — and a very different mindset — than a leader who, often unconsciously, exercises “power over” people.
To shift toward being a leader who inspires, empowers and builds trust among people, it’s not enough to simply learn new techniques. An authentic leader perceives people differently, interacts with people differently, engages in conflict differently, motivates people differently, assesses people differently. Unless you consciously develop this new mindset, you will likely use any “new” tools or techniques in the “old,” unconscious ways.
This 2‐hour interactive and experiential workshop is intended to give you a direct experience of what it means to be an authentic leader.
● Culture change requires a change both in how leaders show up and a change in the
organizational structures that hold the people
● The leadership skill of connecting in the midst of conflict
● Moving from unconscious reaction to conscious response
● Perceiving and valuing human needs in a workplace context as a means of realizing
human and organizational potential
